Terms & Conditions


Tips are accepted and can be given in person or left at reception for the technician to collect at the end of the day. 100% of the tip goes to the member of staff and tips are not pooled. We do not accept tips on card at present. Tip envelopes are available at salon reception if required.

Under 16’s

All under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult when attending their appointment. We do not do any treatment that involves using the UV lamp i.e. gel based polish (shellac or gelish) or nail extensions, on anyone under the age of 16.

Refunds & Returns

We do not offer refunds on services. If you have an issue with a service, we will do everything we can to rectify it for you. If you wish to return a product that you purchased from Fifth Avenue, it must be with 14 days with your receipt and in a saleable condition that has not been tampered with.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers that are lost or stolen cannot be replaced or cancelled, once the voucher has been purchased either online or in salon, it becomes the responsibility of the person who purchased it. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Please note there is no expiry date on our vouchers and they can be used in any Fifth avenue branch.

Appointment Timing

We kindly ask that you arrive at least 5/10 minutes before your appointment start time. If for any reason you are running late, please call or email us to inform us. If you do arrive late it may result in a reduction in your treatment time, and you will be required to pay the full cost of your treatment.

Group booking

We do accept group bookings, but you will be required to pay a minimum €10 deposit per person, at the time of booking. All groups members are urged to arrive at least 15 minutes before appointment time so colours can be chosen in advance as multiples of one colour may be required. At the time of booking a breakdown of the booking is required, so it is best to email us outlining what each person wants specifically and their name. Please note We do not offer group discount.

Right to refuse service

Management reserves right to refuse service to a client.


We guarantee our gels and Gelish for 7 days and will fix up any mishaps within this time. After 7 days is standard wear and tear. To make them last as long as possible, follow these tips.

→ Get glam rubber gloves for any cleaning, washing up and gardening.
→ Keep cleaning gels and detergents as far away as your ex.
→ Don’t leave your hands soaking in a gorge bubbling hot bath or spend your time hanging around saunas or steam rooms.
→ Don’t cut or file your nail while you have Gelish on (what the hell do you think we’re here for?!) as it gets rid of the seal we put on the free edge.
→ Simple things like peeling stickers off magazines, opening cans etc can break the seal so be super careful (or better yet, get someone else to do it for you.)
→ When you’re living your tropical life, make sure to wipe sunscreen/chlorine/insect repellent off Gelish as it can cause it to stain (fake tan also)
→ Get a manicure before 1st set of gels and every 2/4 sets. Although every effort is made with a cuticle push back, it can be hard to remove all cuticle without soaking and cutting . If there is any cuticle left on the nail, gel can’t bond properly and the gel is able to get closer to the cuticle which in turn helps with its longevity.


→ Use non-acetone nail polish remover and base coat when changing polish on gel extensions
→ Hand cream that contains lanolin can cause lifting
→ Gels need to be refilled every 2.5/3.5 weeks
→ You should get a full file off and new tips etc every 3/4 refills to make sure it is new gel touching the nail and all the old gel that might have been lifting is gone (should never be a continuous cycle of refills)
→ Avoid being heavy handed
→ Beware of toilet flushes, opening drink cans, microwaves
→ Typing can cause breakeages/chips
